i.get.it on-line training
(OP)
Has anyone used this training course lately? They are offering a training bundle for $285 that looks pretty good. I believe we looked into it years ago and balked at it because the fee was per person, it would require a work time commitment, and I don't think many of the users really wanted their ability, or lack of, to become public knowledge with management. I do feel my company needs something because most of us have been using SolidWorks for more than 8 years and do many operations the same old way having not been afforded time for training. We are under a new regime now and things may have opened up a little but I don't want to waste company time and money.

Just remember what Ditka always said, "Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect."

By subscriber do you mean there is a subscription plan with a yearly fee? My company is very ROI oriented and I need to prove the benefit before they will spring for it. Is the subscription a comprehensive, up-to-date, training and reference library? Have you done the evaluation thing? I think some of our guys are nervous that low scores could be used against them. Do you use it in place of the Help database that comes with SW?
RE: i.get.it on-line training
The igetit subscription has an annual fee. I don't know what it is exactly, but you can find that out from your local rep. In fact you can find most of this info out from your local rep.
As far as I know there is no reference library, just a series of training courses, videos, and assessments. I have run through the assessments, and they are pretty much a waste of time unless you feel like you need to arbitrarily test yourself or you want to set up a reward system. I gave myself a root beer scratch-and-sniff sticker for my effort...
Basically I use (or have used) the service as an occasional reference. Say you're futzing around with routing, and you haven't played with it for a while, then it is good to quickly run through the training as a refresher.
Only you can decide if this is a worthwhile investment, but at ~$300 it seems pretty hard to go wrong.
