ANSYS: Middle Mouse Button

Quick Question:
IS there any way to remap the middle mouse button to alternate buttons? (e.g. if I have a 2-button mouse, can I make a ctrl+right-click the middle button=accept command?)

Tx

RE: ANSYS: Middle Mouse Button

You may want to check w/ Ansys support on this.  There might be something in the *.ans file Ansys reads.

My suggestion: Buy a mouse with a middle button!  They aren't that expensive. ;)

Well, I have read that the scroll button (if pressable) can be used as a middle button, but right now it just zooms in when I click it.

RE: ANSYS: Middle Mouse Button

I would guess, that the problem of ScatHysteresis is not the cost of a mouse with middle button, but the fact, that different software supports different button functionality when it comes to change the model view.

For example I am using in parallel Ansys Classical, Hypermesh an SolidWorks. Each program has different mouse functions! So I always need some time to accommodate with it, when changing from one program to another.

What about some mouse standards or norms for CAE-Programms?

Regards,
Alex

^that and I have a roaming license that I use on my laptop, which has a middle button that I can use to scroll, but it doesn't work as a middle button in ANSYS :)

Although it would be good if all CAD/FEA/CFD software followed the same 'navigation standards,' it would be even better if their menus/commands had customizeable hotkey functionality. I don't see how this would be hard to implement.
