Facet Preferences

(OP)
Does anyone have any experience with selecting preferences for the creation of facets within NX.

(NX2 > Assemblies > Advanced > Representations > Parameters > 'What do all of these options do?)

I cant seem to find anything in the online doc.

Cheers,

B

RE: Facet Preferences

Unless you feel that your results are unacceptable, I would leave those setting as they are.  Note that for NX 5, virtually everything you see on that page will be obsolete and of no further use to anyone.

RE: Facet Preferences

Everyone I seems to pretty much use the defaults. I've never heard of anyone changing them.

Now you can generate high quality images using faceted bodies, for a large assembly it does a pretty nice job. Perhaps if thats what you're about and you have a part that is some sort of stylish free form shape with highlights that you wanted to capture then you'd be willing to have a slightly heavier faceted body for a better image, by changing the tolerances. It seems to be on a part by part basis using trial and error until you get a good result.

Best Regards

Hudson
