On-line set point Verification on pilot operated?

On-line set point Verification on pilot operated?

On-line set point Verification on pilot operated?

(OP)
Can pilot operated relief valves be tested in-line like conventional spring ones can.

I've been looking at methods such as Furmanite's 'Trevitest' for in-line testing but it's un clear to me whether there's a method for testing pilots.

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

RE: On-line set point Verification on pilot operated?

Yes.  Many PORV Manufacturers equip there valves with field test connections.  A small, portable test vessel is connected to the pilot thru the field test connection and a nitrogen bottle is used to apply pessure to the pilot to verify set pressure.
