Why is my Text font in Layout changes on Print Pre-View or Plotting

(OP)
Having a problem when printing my layout where the fonts change. In model space it works fine but when I am in the Layout sheet and add text with a particuliar font it takes it but, when I do a print preview the font changes or when I do a actual print the font changes. Why is this happening? I am an intermediate user of AutoDesk Map 5.

Does your printer have an option for font substitution?
I bet it does...look in the printer properties on the advanced tabs..

If you can try print preview with another printer type (assuming you have another one to choose from that is a different type)

I just to CADD guru and told me to type the commad "TEXTFILL" and promts you for a value. type "1" and that should not change the font. This did work because what I was getting was only the outline of the text font.
