hi
can anyone tell me how much power you will need to produce 2000lbs of thrust from 70 inch blades in a ducted fan?

also i take it there will be contra rotating blades to stop the whole setup from spinning?

any help and advice will be appreciated

Use the search engine to try and find a previous discussion on this. If you can, post the thread number in this thread, read it and see if it answers your questions.

You need to know the figure of merit (say 0.5), and the motor power.
