Scaling up a steam generator

Scaling up a steam generator

Scaling up a steam generator

(OP)
Hi

i want to know that how much we can increase the size of a steam generator after which another one is required to generate more steam.
What are the design parameters to control when scaling up a existing steam generator.

RE: Scaling up a steam generator

yehlo1972,

Q = U x A x LMTD is a starting point.

the Q and LMTD are determined from process design conditions.  the U & A will, for the most part, dictate the size of the steam generator.  Also, the configuration and materials of construction of the steam generator will impact the size and cost as well.

are you certain about "scaling up" and existing steam generator?

good luck!
