alignment indicator

(OP)
Im drawing an End View of a Scetion View in SE Draft.

To get the Diam.s I using the alignment indicator to
pickup the measurments of the scetion view.
This allows me to change a Section View dia and the End View
changes automatically.

However, I have 2 diams really close and the Align. Indicator will not Auto align to the one I want.
Is ther a way to Zoom in and aid the selection of the line you want to auto align to, then zoom out and carry on as normal

TIA

RE: alignment indicator

There are two ways this could be done:
1. Zoom in close, pick the feature you want to dimension
and then zoom out, press the escape key to resume'
   placing the dimension.
2. Choose "New window" from the window pull down,
tile the windows and have one zoomed in close
and one with an overall view, if you click on the
dimension element in the zoomed view you can move
the cursor into the other window to click and finish
   placing the dimension.

The Quick pick indicator should allow you to toggle between
any elements that are within the "intent zone" of the cursor.
apparently there are some utilities which run in the task
bar tray in windows which interfere with quick pick and
cause it to not work correctly, if you have any
extra utiliies which run in the task tray, you may want
to try and disable them to see if it helps at all.
