Hi All-

I have a callout on a drawing for Hard Chrome Plating per AMS QQ-C-320. The note gives the thickness of the coating. I have been looking around, and I can't find references to state that this standard is current. Has it been replaced? If so, what is the applicable standard in effect? Do you have any information regarding this or the current standard, such as proper way to callout on a drawing (thickness, required hardness, etc).

Thanks for the help, in advance.

Regards,

RE: AMS QQ-C-320

vc66,

I usually start by looking on http://global.ihs.com/, they usually are pretty good at listing older specs and their revision/cancellation/supercession notices.

It helped here, showing QQ-C-320 (I seem to recall this was originally a FED-STD?) to be superseded by SAE AMS-QQ-C-320, which itself has been superseded by SAE AMS 2460 (revised 2007).

Aha... Thanks to all three. I have found exactly what I need.
