Elevations at culvert in HEC-RAS

Elevations at culvert in HEC-RAS

(OP)
I'm modeling a channel with a culvert in HEC-RAS. I have an elevation on my profile plot that I'm not sure where it's coming from or how to get rid of it. On the attached picture you can see the elevation inside the culvert. It is the same elevation as the bottom of the upstream cross section. I'm not sure why it's showing up here? Can anyone help me?

Thanks

RE: Elevations at culvert in HEC-RAS

Suggest you read, again, the HEC-RAS, User's Manual, starting at page 6-19.  Hec-RAS is VERY fussy about cross section locations at bridges and culverts and will give you strange results if you enter any wrong data or locate the culvert, cross section or roadway data at locations the program doesn't "understand". Plot the cross section before you run the analysis and make sure it looks like it should.

good luck
