Problem using *MOPER,,,ENEAR

Problem using *MOPER,,,ENEAR

Problem using *MOPER,,,ENEAR

(OP)
Hello,

dose anybody already used the function *MOPER,,,ENEAR? I have used this function to get a list of elements nearest to a list of nodal coordinates. All I am getting, is a list of real numbers instead of integers (element numbers).

Can anybody explain this to me?

Many thanks in advance!

Alex

Nobody ever used *MOPER,,ENEAR?...

RE: Problem using *MOPER,,,ENEAR

I don't know if anybody there want to know the solution of this problem, since nobody else ever used *MOPER, but anyway, here is the solution (after hours of trying)

*MOPER,,,ENEAR works only when all defined elements are selected. This seems to be a bug in the ansys code, since the ansys help states, that only the selected elements are taken into account.

Unfortunately this solution dose not help me, since I only want to get nearest selected elements.

Alex
