I need to reduce the air pressure in a leaky chamber.
The flow rate is 3700 cfm, and the pressure drop is just under 1 psi.
I have found a centrifugal blower that will manage that, but was wondering whether there are any axial solutions that spring to mind, as my customer would prefer an axial system. I gather that 1 psi is too much for a fan as such.
Overall diameter is an issue, which is another reason why the centrifugal blower is not preferred. In an ideal world 14" OD, I suppose 20" might be acceptable.
Cost is not really an issue (yet).

to get you started. The sample is belt driven, but they will also be available direct driven with the motor in-line if that is what you need.

Yeah, you're looking a centrifugal most likely.
If you've got length, a couple vaneaxials in series could get there.

I didn't have much luck with the regenerative blowers, so far. Most seem to be 1-5 hp jobbies, not 30+.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a manufacturer for a multistage axial setup, say 20 units per year? I'm sure we'll take an efficiency hit from an axial system, but that may be an acceptable tradeoff.
