Angular tolerance for a chamfer

Angular tolerance for a chamfer

Angular tolerance for a chamfer

(OP)
Well this used to be quite simple in 2007 and I can't find the easy way to change this without going under options and setting my angular tolerance to zero decimal places. In 2007 you could change it once you created it from 2 decimal points to none, am I missing something here in 2008?

I guess I meant precision her not tolerance.

RE: Angular tolerance for a chamfer

Switch the chamfer style from Distance x Angle to Angle x Distance.

The precision is only applied to the first part of the chamfer callout.

cheers

once again thank you, In previous versions we could control both which in the case of a chamfer I don't want it displayed out to 4 decimal points nor do I want angular dimension out 2 which are my defaults. Guess I'll user the lesser of two evils

It was an option up until 2008, I used all the time until I finally updated and now I've just been looking and looking for it. Guess it's not there. Yea I double checked on my old computer that I retired last week and it's there. I'd like this function back for sure.

RE: Angular tolerance for a chamfer

I can verify that it is an option on 2006. There are two Tolerance/Precision boxes in the dimension property manager.

in 2008 there is the second tolerance/precision it just lacks the precision box to change it.

Here's the solution, and it's all about fewer mouse clicks in 2008, hmmmm here goes that theory,

in the 2nd Tolerance/Precision box you need to add a tolerance

then select your precision

then turn off your tolerance

three mouse clicks instead of one the old way.
