Toolbars keep moving

Toolbars keep moving

Toolbars keep moving

(OP)
Is there a way to lock the toolbars to keep from moving?  My toolbars are not staying where I put them.  They keep ending up on the sides of the screen going from top to bottom instead of left to right.  Its so annoying.

RE: Toolbars keep moving

Don't hold your breath, though.  This one has been around since when the Dead Sea was just sick.  With the new changes in the UI I've been able to eliminate my toolbars completely.  It definitely frees up some real estate.

RE: Toolbars keep moving

Very good point, Dan. I can't remember the last time I used my toolbars...

With the new UI can it be configured to?  Like when you click on a surface a little dialog pops up with commands you might like to use. Can that dialog box be configured? I haven't been able to find a way yet.

RE: Toolbars keep moving

I don't think one can, but the 'S' key box can be. Simply right click on it, 'customize'.

RE: Toolbars keep moving

Jeff is right.  The Context Toolbars cannot be customized, but they can be toggled on or off.  The "S" key is the wave of the future.  All of the cool kids are using it.  That in conjunction with the Context Toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, and the heads-up flyouts should cover most of what you do on a day-to-day basis.

Guess Im not one of the cool kids that explains why I was always picked last in dodge ball.....:(

I never liked the flyout toolbars. I'll revist them maybe there better than I thought.  Have to check out this "s" key everyones talking about see if it's up to the hype.
