OLE Object

OLE Object

A bit map image is inserted into the drawing as an OLE object and now can not be cut/deleted from the drawing.  It is not selectable but still shows up in paper space.
How can I remove this?  Thanks in advance.

RE: OLE Object

The OLE object was inserted in paper space and is not being viewed through a view port.  I have also made the object selectable.  I then erased it but it is still visible.  Now it doesn't even give me the option to make it selectable or unselectable (kind of like it's there but it's not) The insertion layer is not locked either.  Any other thoughts?

RE: OLE Object

You might try saving it as an older version (make a copy first) and then bring it back in??

RE: OLE Object

CJSchwartz,

OLE is back-stabbing.
Unlock all layer.

Maybe you can attach the *.dwg with the OLE at the forum? Which ACAD-version are you running?

RE: OLE Object

OK, I see.

IMHO the data of your *.dwt ist corrupt...?
So I would make a wblock, and then a new *.dwt.
ACAD does find the object by "_qselect", but it's not selectable. Funny and #§$%*%&$§#!

I do not like OLEs. Maybe you can trace the logo of your company and insert it as a block?

Maybe another experts do know more...

RE: OLE Object

I opened it in 2008 (full, not LT), the OLE object was selectable & erased.
OLEFRAME varibale is set at 2.

It may well be an LT issue.

RE: OLE Object

OLEFRAME since 2005. sad
With 2004 same problems.
