Text attached to balloons?

Text attached to balloons?

Text attached to balloons?

(OP)
How do I attach text to a balloon? For example, I want to add the text "2X" alongside the balloon to denote that there are 2 instances of this part.

I can't believe that you need to make a text box each and every time you need to do this! There has to be a simpler way.

RE: Text attached to balloons?

As far as I have found, there is no way to make the qty note part of the balloon. I use leader text and select a node on the balloon to attach to (Select the node but do not select a second point as you would normally. Just RMB and select continue.) this ties to two together so that if the balloon moves the text goes with it.

Thanks! That works perfectly.

RE: Text attached to balloons?

No Worries.

You could also right click on the balloon, edit balloon, check override shape then click circular - 2 entries.  Now, you should have the item number on top with the number of instances on bottom.

RE: Text attached to balloons?

If that is acceptable with your company's standards.

Actually, the 2 line ballon option is NOT acceptable with company standards. And you need an act of congress to change them. So I prefer to work as much as possible within the standards that the company has been using for the past 60 years.
