BOM qty display

BOM qty display

I have an assembly that has several configurations, all of which are the same assembly in different positions. In my assy drawing the BOM is coming in with the configuration name and qty. Is there a way to change the cell to display "qty" only and omit the configuration name. I have tried several ways of changing the text and every time it come back in as soon as I update the drawing

RE: BOM qty display

Set the SolidWorks BOM to use default configuration.

RE: BOM qty display

After following Bradley's suggestion, if the word "default" is still displaying in the QTY header, and deleting it only brings it back, replace the word default with a single hit of the spacebar.

The SolidWorks BOM knows what QTY is and wants to make sure your are using the correct config.  If you put in a custom header, SolidWorks basically says you are on your own.  So your custom header of <spacebar>QTY. or QTY<spacebar> does the trick.
