Visible Sketch

Visible Sketch

Visible Sketch

(OP)
I've come across a minor nuisance, but can't figure out what is causing it or how to resolve it.  I am trying to create a sheet metal template, so I made a base flange then deleted it, so the sheet metal feature is still present, saved and now I have a template.  However, upon creating a base flange for real, the sketch always comes up visible.  It only does this on the first base flange, and not on any other feature.  It only does it on my system, so I am thinking it may be an option but can't find anything.  Anyone seen this before and/or have any ideas on how to make sure the sketch is always hidden by default?  I am running 2008 sp1.0.

I don't think that would really do it.  If I use the template on another computer, it shows up hidden.  If I do it on my computer, it shows up visible.

RE: Visible Sketch

what happens if you copy the settings (using the copy settings wizard) from the other computer into yours?
Pls remember to make a copy of your own settings first.

Yeah, that does it.  Now I just have to drill down and find the actual option...

RE: Visible Sketch

gopack13,

Just curious, are you creating different SM templates for different materials and gauges?

cheers

I am doing a general template.  I need the sheet metal feature in the template so that I can use gauge and bend tables.  The problem with the sketch showing happens in normal templates too, I just happened to come accross it while making this template.
