I know I've seen this somewhere before, but...
It would be extremely beneficial to put your system specs in with the question, if not in your signature.
Knowing what kind of system your running, as well as what version of SolidWorks, would go a long way towards solving your issue. Functionality changes from version to version so what may fix an '07 problem won't necessarily fix an '08 problem; features available in '08 may not be available in '07. Your hardware, too, can often play into issues.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...

thumbsup2 I agree its a good idea to provide all system information here, because as you state, it can make a huge different and be an obvious clue to some problems.

I feel adding it to my signature (not pointing fingers) is a distraction in other boards that I also participate in.

You are right about the specifications. I would always forget to put in the specifications of my machine, so I put them in my signature. We get new machines every 3 to 4 years so it is nice to see what others are using all the time.
