Mates help

Mates help

I have a piece of pipe with one end at an angle and a mating piece of pipe that has the same angle on it and I'm trying to mate the two elliptical faces together.

It won't let me do a concentric mate, what's the best way to mate these tow pieces together. Thanks.

RE: Mates help

You can add planes or sketches on both ends and mate them together.
A pic of your issue may help.

RE: Mates help

Insert a sketch on the eliptical face, and place a point concentric with the elipse.  Do that for each peace, then mate the points.  Then just finish up using parallel faces/planes.

Thanks guys, I went into the part file and put a point at the middle of the respective ellipses and then mated the pieces together by the points.
