Tower internals and Trays

Tower internals and Trays

Tower internals and Trays

(OP)
All,

Just trying to learn how to estimate tower internals, trays, structured packing, etc. Does anyone knows about a book, a website or somewhere where I can learn about it. Thanks.

RE: Tower internals and Trays

Books:

Henry Kister: "Distillation Design", "Distillation operation", "Distillation Troubleshooting"
E. Ludwig: "Applied Process Design"
McCabe, Smith, Harriott: "Unit operations of Chemical engineering"
(you'll find most of these books published by McGraw-Hill, New York. Check their catalogue, it's full of process engineering literature)

Websites:

http://www.kolmetz.com/Technical-articles.html
http://www.revamps.com/Revamps/Public/TechnicalArticles.aspx

Google will offer you plenty of information, depending on specific topic. There is a vast space waiting to be explored.

Best regards,
