Straight/ Inverted Voltage Regulators
Straight/ Inverted Voltage Regulators
(OP)
We currently have (2) 50A Straight Voltage Regulators and (1) 75A Inverted Voltage Regulator on the same WYE configured feeder/circuit. Currently, we do not serve any three phase customers downline of the regulators; however, in the event that we did- could this be harmful to them? In short, do straight/inverted regulator combinations on the same circuit lead to any crazy harmful phenomena I am not aware of?

RE: Straight/ Inverted Voltage Regulators
What is a "straight" and an "inverted" regulator?
Do you mean devices with a positive output and a negative output?
If there is a transformer and a full-wave rectifier involved - two-pulse or six-pulse - it wouldn't hurt a bit. But (God forbid) if you have a single rectifier or thyristor connected between line and load, then it would really hurt a lot. Even if it is only one "straight" regulator.
What topology do you have? Brand names? Types?

I don't know the answer to the OP question, but download the instruction manual for a Siemens JFR voltage regulator at https://c
