hi freinds,
i'm trying to design a pressure vessel with 2 atm internal pressure,dimenshin of it is D=2.88 m and H=4.8 m,the thickness of it's shell is 12 mm and the thickness of roof is equal to 16 mm.the material is stainless steel 304L,but i don't know the length of straight flange and the depth of roof,another problem is the thickness of bottom plate and anchor bolt.there is no formula to design anchor bolt.
if we have a mixer inside the tank can we design the vessels from API 650,API 620 and pressure vessel handbook?

Not trying to be negative or anything but by the questions you are asking I really think you need to contract a competent Vessels Engineer to design your equipment.
The depth of the roof depends on what type of roof you want. Semi-elipsoidal, tori-spherical etc so there is no straight answer. The straight flange can also vary but is typically between 50mm and 150mm.
You ask whether API650, API620 and pressure vessel handbook can be used. You need to determine if the equipment falls within the scope of these standards (2 atm is above storage tank limits). Using a pressure vessel handbook is not really the way to go as the pressure vessel should be designed to a current applicable Code, however a pressure vessel handbook may help.

all of other vessels have mixers but i think that i must design the tanks with standards and then compute the effect of mixer on vessels.one vessel is pressure vessel and i want to design it with pressure vessle handbook for internal pressure and inside dimensions,i choose tori-sphercal head,and flat bottom for it,in asme didn't say that we must 30 psi to operating pressure but pressure vessle handbook say it,i confused very.
other vessels have internal pressure such as 4.5,2.9,10 and 12 psi,i must use api 620 but it is very confused.

As DSB123 says, you are probably in over your head and need either an experienced pressure vessel engineer to perform the work for you, or to mentor you.

Prex is right on.....
Flat-bottomed tanks are good only to 2.5 psig (API-650) and a few more psig for API-620 designs.
Jannet, at 2 atm. you are clearly into a pressure vessel design code (ASME VIII or whatever) Where are you located ?
Let me guess, is this the first tank/pressure vessel you ever have specified or designed ??
