Calculate minimum hot oil flowrate to keep kettle boiler temperature
Calculate minimum hot oil flowrate to keep kettle boiler temperature
(OP)
I'm asked to calculate the minimm hot oil flowrate into a kettle steam generator to maintain the boiler in temperature.
so i have to calculate the thermal dispersion to enviroment
?
someone suggests me to assume a reasonable steam flowrate lost from the atmospheric boiler and calculate the ncessary thermal power of hot oil to generate this lost steam flowrate.
can anyone suggest me which equation model should i consider ?
Thank to all

RE: Calculate minimum hot oil flowrate to keep kettle boiler temperature
short of knowing other details about the equipment/process, a reasonable engr should be able to determine the heat requirements.
good luck!
