Import warped text from one file to another

Import warped text from one file to another

Import warped text from one file to another

(OP)
Good afternoon, I have a model and I have several lines of text wrapped onto a cylinder in that model.  I have a second model, with the exact same size cylinder and rather than create all of that text again, I was wondering if I could somehow import the text or even the wrap from the first model?  If so how is that done?  Thank you in advance for any assistance.

RE: Import warped text from one file to another

Can you drag the feature from one model/face to the other model/face?  Otherwise, perhaps create the feature as a library feature and try that.

Thanks for the response, Jeff.  I had both files open and tried to drag the text over to the other files but I could not get the text to move.  I will see if I can use that library, but it is kind of over kill for to parts.  Thanks again.

RE: Import warped text from one file to another

Could you Save as the original model, and modify that to create the second model?

cheers

Thanks for the response CorBlimeyLimey, but that was my first thought, but in may ways they are a bid to different so I am go to try that library thing and if I get that screwed up, I will just re-enter the text.  Thanks again all for the help.
