thermal conductance problem

thermal conductance problem

thermal conductance problem

(OP)

Hi,

I´m trying to simulate the cooling of plastic in an injection mold (I have started with a simplificated 2D). If I glue both surfaces (steel and plastic) the mesh is continuous but the problem is that they share nodes in the common line and I can´t define diferent initial conditions for the steel and plastic at this line. If I mesh the surfaces as in the file attached, the nodes are different but I define the contact pair (surface to surface) and a thermal conductance (0.01) and there is no heat transfer between them.

If someone can help me...

Thank you very much.

RE: thermal conductance problem

Hi,
there simply isn't any contact pair defined in your model...
