Fire Flooding with Oxygen

Fire Flooding with Oxygen

Fire Flooding with Oxygen

(OP)
Is there any information on the experience with fire-flooding an old field with oxygen (not just with air).  I've heard there is, but I only get some very limited information on the subject when I Google this topic.

How successful has this been, what is the experience level, etc. etc.

RE: Fire Flooding with Oxygen

At one time Mobil had a bunch of studs re: fireflooding.  That was pre-ExxonMobil.  I have no idea what happened to their tech center.

Did you check to see if there are any API papers on this?

RE: Fire Flooding with Oxygen

Haven't checked with API.  Is that really SPE?

RE: Fire Flooding with Oxygen

Ugh, my bad, good catch dude.  Yes that would be SPE.

Yesterday was a loooooong day winky smile

If you know anyone that works for ExxonMobil, they might be able to hook you up.  If you are desperate, they will of course sell you access to the technology.  Look on the E-M webpage for their technicsl research center and email them.  Hell they might even give you some papers for free...

RE: Fire Flooding with Oxygen

i did a quick search of SPE and couldn't find any.

That's been kind of my experience.  Hard to find anything concrete.  It must be buried under the end-zone at some stadium in New Jersey.
