Does NX5 run under Windows 2000 ???

Does NX5 run under Windows 2000 ???

(OP)
Hello,

We have a Dell PC with Windows 2000 on it. We currently use NX4 and it runs good on this system. However we want to upgrade to NX5, but it is not supported by UGS.

My question is : has anyone tried to install NX5 on a Windows 2000 system? And does it run good, because the PC that we use is still good?

Kind regard,
Roy Munnichs.

RE: Does NX5 run under Windows 2000 ???

As far as I know NX4 wasn't supported on win 200 either but that works.
I haven't tried NX5 on a win 2000 PC but if XP is supported I would think it will have no problems on win 2000.  You just won't get any joy out of the UGS support people.

It probably only takes a few minutes to install. I'd give it a try. If worst comes to worst you should be able to upgrade any machine that runs W2K to run XP.

You may have issues with UGS support because of the old OS. If however you report known problems fixed for XP under various patches then it is to be hoped that they would provide those to you.

Well if the reverse is any indication, I suspect that you'll be OK as I can still run UG V16.0 (circa 1999) on Windows XP.  I mean V16.0 was built on Windows NT.
