isometric view in drawing

I was wondering if anybody knew how to set "parts" to transparent in a isometric view of an "assembly" in a "drawing"?

RE: isometric view in drawing

Set the transparency of the parts in the assy model
Insert the model into the drawing
Set the view to Shaded or Shaded With Edges

cheers

What about if the assembly is refrenced in several drawings I guess I would have to use different configurations.

now the problem is that it is not transparent enough

RE: isometric view in drawing

Try opening the part and use "Edit Color". You can adjust the level of transparency there until the component looks like a wireframe view in the drawing.

That is what I did. I was thinking of something more like a global transparency adjuster valve that would adjust all of the transparent items all at the same time. Befor I thought about doing this I was just putting an extruded cut to the depth I needed to see. I might go back to doing it this way.
