Pipe Pressure
(OP)
I need to know the pressure required to deliver 30 gpm of water, through a 1" copper line. Sounds easy. Can anyone assist?

RE: Pipe Pressure
RE: Pipe Pressure
one foot long requires about 0.24 psi
100 foot long requires about 24 psi
1 mile long requires about 1244 psi
The velocity of 12 ft/sec is higher than I would use.

RE: Pipe Pressure
The GPM requirement is actually set by US Gov UFC that I am suppose to use for emergency deluge showers.

RE: Pipe Pressure
Again, if talking about safety showers, you will need to supply tepid water to it.
