Wire Rope D/d efficiency

Wire Rope D/d efficiency

(OP)
Greetings everyone!  This is my first post to this site, as I've come across it in trying to find the D/d efficiency equations.  I look forward to helping the best I can, and I hope to get as much back from this site.  Unfortunately, I'm a man without a home here.  I'm a rigging engineer, with structural steel background.  I'm a little disappointed that there's not a thread for that, but I'll adapt.  Meanwhile, if anyone has Crane & Rigging questions, I'll help the best that I know how.

Here goes:  I've recently switched jobs, and somewhere during the move, I've misplaced all of my "cheat sheets" that had my most frequent equations, formulae, etc. on them

I CAN'T FIND THE (2) EFFICIENCY EQUATIONS OF WIRE ROPE W.R.T. THE D/d RATIO!  Can someone please help?

RE: Wire Rope D/d efficiency

After exhaustive searching, I've found it.

FYI:

When D/d < 6:

%E = 1 - (1/(2*(SQRT (D/d))))

When D/d >= 6:

%E = 1 - [.76 / ((D/d)^.73)]

RE: Wire Rope D/d efficiency

Welcome, Pascal, and it is always good when someone answers their own question.
