Can anybody lead me to fastening and diaphragm values for standing seam metal roof?  I have a metal seam roof that will be fastened to 2x6 purlins spaced at 2'-0" o.c.

I think you'll have to get these from the SS manufacturer and I'm not confident they'll have them.

It is my understanding that you can't develop a diaphragm with standing seam roofing because of the method of attachment to the supports and because of the thin gauge of the material.

Also the standing seam roofing may not provide adequate lateral bracing to the 2x6 purlins.  I have read about the effectiveness of standing seam roofing providing lateral bracing to purlins, but at this time I can't locate the article I read.  I will try to find the article and add it to this post.

When I've done projects involving a SSR on a wood framed structure it usually came back to requiring sheathing on the wood framing and then the SSR attached to the wood sheathing.  The sheathing provided the diaphragm for the structure.

Standing seam roof has no shear diaphragm strength. It is attached to th purlins with clips.  Structural standing seam roof only means that it can span between purlins on its own i.e. without plywood or OSB to support the SSR.  To get diaphragm action you must provide plywood, OSB or metal deck under the SSR, depending on what type of purlin is used.
