Counterbore Dimension Location

Hi,

Am I doing something wrong here? When entering the information below I then point to a counterbore. If I select the outer circle (spotface) I do not get the counterbore values returned in the text. When I point to the inner circle (through hole) I get the correct result, but to me pointing to the inner circle is wrong in drafting terms.

Does anyone have any ideas?

RE: Counterbore Dimension Location

Hi,

this is corrected in V20. In V19/Sp10 it does not work the
way it should. So you have to live with that at the mo ...

Cheers for that dy, it was annoying me :)

RE: Counterbore Dimension Location

It doesn't seem to be corrected in V20 too. There are many other drafting convention problems still exists.

Example: I couldn't put angular dimension text to position where I wish.

RE: Counterbore Dimension Location

the problem mentioned by m4rc *is* solved in V20.

RE: Counterbore Dimension Location

Hi,

now! You must tell in which environment you are. I usually
do not dimension a hole within the profile and thus I was
speaking of the draft environment.
The dimensioning will be OK in PMI and Draft but not within
the profile environment. Simply speaking: forgotten to fix
it in that environment too where it still snaps to the hole

I simply don't care of that, most important is: the drawing is
understandable and unambigous which IMHO it is either way

RE: Counterbore Dimension Location

sorry to attach part file, probebly it leads to confusion at your end. I am in draft environment.

I have persistant prblem in V20 draft. Counterbore dimensions need to attached at root hole, which doesn't seems standard way. (Arrow should be pointed at top of hole)

Thanks
Bhavesh
