Porous media permeability variation with time

(OP)
Hello Everybody,

We wanted to simulate the condition of dust bag filter(Very Large capacity- plant size) thorugh which cement or steel plant air get filtered of suspended particle and then that air released to atmosphere.
This require deposition of particles on filter bag(increasing with time). When I explored porous media to my frustration there were constants A and B which need to be found out by experiments.More over the flow trajectories even after introducing it9porous media), not get changed as it really happens(looked pretty smooth). On contacting SWX(cosmos) support they replied only pressure drop across porous media can be found by it now.
So how long we can go in simulating problem like I describe above.
Do you know any alternate that can do things like this?
