STUD BOLTS ROOT DIAMETER

Any calculation/formula involved in getting stud bolts' root diameter? Please help! Actually, I wanted to know exactly the root diameter of a 1-3/8" UNC studbolt. Thank you in advance!

RE: STUD BOLTS ROOT DIAMETER

I always use the core diameter of the thread, it's the most conservative.

Alternatively, PD5500 has a table of root areas for metric and imperial size bolts.

Unfortunately, i don't have this PD5500 Sir. Anyway, thank you for your kindness in sharing your knowledge. I appreciate it very much. Regards.
