Large Enclousure / Electrical box

Large Enclousure / Electrical box

(OP)
Hello everyone,

I am new here so sorry if I've posted this in a wrong place. I  need to find a quite big enclosure (preferably sealed - basically a very large electrical box) - up to 2m high with a base 1,5x1,5m. I tried RS catalogue but they didn't have anything as big as I need.
I would be very grateful for any help.
Best wishes,
George

These are usually called cabinets or cubicles. The standard foot-print is usually 800x1200 mm with 2200 mm height, but there are larger ones. Have a look at Rittal. They may have something your size.

Have a shop fabricate it for you?

Hi George.
As Gunnar saied are cubicles.
More or less standards are 2000/2200 x 800/600 x 800/600.
You can combinate 4 cubicles and used them w/o rear and side panels. I recommend use standard cubicles, it's more cheapper, then non standrad sizes.

Around here I believe they are called enclosures.

Hubbell and the big name in 'enclosures' is Hoffman.  This to the extent that about half the time enclosures are actually referred to as "Hoffman Boxes" ah-la "Kleenex".

I use Hoffman pretty much exclusively because they have the biggest selection and are more likely to be in stock.

I've had them build units for me that were (feet) 7 wide x 3 deep x 7 tall, with 10mil powder coating.  (Oil field controls.)

George,

I guess from RS Components you are UK based?

Check out Rittal, Eldon, Sarel as a few manufacturers for starters. You should be able to order through one of the distributors like Newey & Eyre.
