Change common name outside of Intralink

(OP)
Quite a while ago I asked about changing the common name of a part outside of Intralink. At the time no solution was found. I believe I stumbled upon the solution for this problem. It occurs when you take a part and save it as something else. The common name of the new part is the same as of the original part.
The solution: file>rename>in session. This makes the common name accessible for renaming. After that just save the part file.
I hope this helps someone out.

RE: Change common name outside of Intralink

Did you give any of these config.pro options a try?
