class 2 overcurrent (fuse) question-primary and secondary

class 2 overcurrent (fuse) question-primary and secondary

class 2 overcurrent (fuse) question-primary and secondary

(OP)
I haven't had to do this in a while and found reference docs online with the info but wanted to ask if I am doing this right.
I have a class 2 control transformer 40VA (120VAC>24VAC)
and am getting different results than posted online.
To determine the fuse size I am doing this:

primary> 40/120*125%=.75A

secondary> 40/24*125%=3.75A

Is this not correct?

Thanks in advance emsguy

RE: class 2 overcurrent (fuse) question-primary and secondary

40 / 120 = 0.333.....
0.333..... x 125% = 0.41666...
Am I missing something?

40 / 120 x 250% = 0.75

Thank-you Bill, it was an issue of +125% being entered not*.
Forgot my math although I had the formula right :(
