OPERATOR vs CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

OPERATOR vs CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

OPERATOR vs CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

(OP)
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the benefit of operator experience. I am looking at moving from the consulting field to work for a mine operator. I'm a recent grad with only 1 year experience. Anyone have any suggestions or words of caution as to which direction I should advance my career ?

Thanks

RE: OPERATOR vs CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

Moving to a more hands on role such as an operator gives the consultant another aspect of the job outside the theoretical and sterile, have a go and be sure to listen to the more experienced operators as they have been around, but dont forget what you have aquired as a consultant
