AutoCAD 2007 vs 2008

AutoCAD 2007 vs 2008

(OP)
What are the big differences between R2007 and R2008?  Is one more or less stable?  Is one more or less of a resource hog?  Are there any really cool features?  I can use either but have no way to choose.  What do you think?

RE: AutoCAD 2007 vs 2008

Autodesk provides a comparison matix:

The features that are new that are important vary by user.  For me, the "layer properties by viewport" alone is a hands-down reson to use 2008.

RE: AutoCAD 2007 vs 2008

As far as I'm concerned 2007 was far more stable.  2008 may have many new Trick features for Architects and such, in the Electrical end of things, I don't use any of them, and some new Standards cause me much grief.

RE: AutoCAD 2007 vs 2008

One feature that is HUGE for us in 2008 is layer properties by viewport (color, linetype, etc).
