Help with Styles Library

Help with Styles Library

Help with Styles Library

(OP)
All I need to do is to change a dimension style to three decimal places and no leading zeros using Inventor 9.  I've changed the project file to "Styles Library=Yes", closed the program and opened it.  I edit the dimension style and select "SAVE".  When I attempt to start a new file, I'm back to two decimal places and leading zeros.  I've searched the forums back a few years and found similar threads, but every attempt I've made has been unsuccessful.  I'm finding a transition from Solidworks to Inventor to be fair in some aspects, but horridly painful in some simple ways such as this.  And for the record, the genius who wrote the Inventor Help files, hopefully has found employment elsewhere.  Like at the BMV.

RE: Help with Styles Library

Is this for all drawings going forward?
If so you need to open your idw template then go to format..styles and standard editor and change it there, then save your template and all newly created drawings will be 3 decimal places.

If its just for one drawing then open the drawing and do the same as above.

The important part to remember is to open the template when making global changes

RE: Help with Styles Library

Save the changes back to the style library as well.
