Perforating straight side press

Perforating straight side press

(OP)
Hii all,
I have to make a 100 Tonne Perforating Straight Side Press. It has to perforate 1mm thick CR steel sheets of length 8 feet. The SPM ( Stroke Per Minute) Should be around 250 to 300. Kindly suggest what Mechanism should i use to to fulfill the requirement.
My present presses work on flywheel and eccentric mechanism, by which max. possible SPM is only 80.
There are companies which manufacture presses of capacity 100 tonnes having 300 SPM, i wanna know on which mechanism they work on.
Will it be possible to use a mechanical feed system or it will be better to use a hydraulic one.
Thanking you in advance for any help.

RE: Perforating straight side press

There are eccentric presses of 100 ton that can run at that speed.  But if it has to move an entire 8 foot sheet at that rate it would be difficult.

At those speeds hydraulic would have trouble keeping up. A strip feeding system might be the best in the long run.  It is hard to say exactly without seeing the application.

If you have all the parameters, send them to several press companies and they will give you a summary.
