In laymans terms, what is a curb return?

RE: Easy One

I've heard it used in 2 ways.  One is, any section of curved curb, that is a curb constructed with a radius.
Sometimes used to refer to the end of such a curved curb, where it meets up with a straight section of curb.

Any other interpretations?

From the city of Springfield...

DRIVEWAY. An access for vehicles.

DRIVEWAY, CURB RETURN. A driveway defined on both sides by a full height curb.

DRIVEWAY, JOINT USE. A driveway serving two or more properties.
