Saving new revisions of drawings+models
Saving new revisions of drawings+models
(OP)
Hi,
I'm sure that this is a very simple question but I would like to find out whether there is a better way of saving old revisions of drawings and models as I update them.
Currently when I want to up-revision a model/drawing, I save copies of both in an 'old versions' folder, then rename the two original files and make the necessary changes to the model (which then automatically update on the drawing). Is this an efficient way of doing this or can anyone help me do things differently?
Thanks in advance for any advice...

RE: Saving new revisions of drawings+models
If you also need to save the actual model, then what you are doing sounds fine.
PDMWorks (or similar) would help with revision control.
