RE: Happy new year!!!

Shouldn't be there a coma after "Happy new year"?

Ciao.

RE: Happy new year!!!

That depends on how much you were drinking on New Year's Eve.

Happy new year, everyone!

2008 is a year of adventure and surprise.

For myself, it is a year of improving English.

Thinking about how many years I spent in an English country, I feel my IQ is so low. It is so hard for me to pick up English.

Wish you guys could spend a few words to correct my English.

Thank you very much.

Happy new year, everyone!

2008 will (or may) be a year of adventure and surprises.

For myself, it should be a year in which I'll improve my English.

Thinking about how many years I spent in an English country, I feel my knowledge of English is poor. It is very hard for me to pick up English.

I wish you guys could spend some time on correcting my English.

Thank you so much, Greg Locock.
I appreciate your reply.
I will try to study hard.

All the best to you and all the people here.

RE: Happy new year!!!

Happy New Year all.

Hope we will all have more time to relax than I have over the past few weeks.  A total of four days off since Dec. 18th.  That can be the life of an Engineer during a major fixture install.

I wish you all the best in the coming year and hope it is fruitful for all.

RE: Happy new year!!!

snowfire, despite the good Greg Locock corrections, your posts here and other places are fairly good.  If you have English as a second language, you are doing well.

I am an English-only person and am always impressed with those who can speak multiple languages.

"<Your English is great, I wish I had the ability to converse sensibly in a foreign langauge>"

Sheesh, I wish I could converse sensibly in my own language!

Greg ... you converse in Aussie don't you? Oh sorry, I was forgetting ... you said sensibly didn't you. poke

cheers
