Single-ended LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL

Single-ended LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL

(OP)
I have a single-ended LVPECL output that I need to convert to a single-ended LVTTL output.  I know they make single-ended LVPECL to differential LVPECL translators (second step is to connect this to a differential LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL translator), but I want to skip this step and use a differential LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL translator.  Can I connect the single-ended LVPECL output to the P-side input and tie the N-side input to ground of the differential LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL translator?

RE: Single-ended LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL

If you want to go single ended LVPECL to single ended LVTTL, I would run the LVPECL through a comparator.  Tie Vcc to 3.3V, Vee to 0V, the signal to V+, and a 2V reference to V-.  The output should be LVTTL.

RE: Single-ended LVPECL to single-ended LVTTL

Why not just use a commercial LVPECL to LVTTL converter?
