Digital Camera for Metallurgical Optical equipment
Digital Camera for Metallurgical Optical equipment
(OP)
Back sometime in early 2007, I read a thread which discussed digital camera attachments and software for metallurgical metallographic uses. As I remember this equipment was considered to be the best. I just cannot remember the products name. Recently I purchased a used Nikon Epiphot which I would like to use a digital camera and software with. If anyone has knowledge about these kinds of products I would appreciate any information.
Thanks
PS: Also I purchased a used Tukon and Stereomicroscope equipment which would be nice if the digital equipment could be used interchangeable between these microscopes?

We found that the free software "ImageJ" does just as well, if not better, than the packages they try and bundle with your microsope, for astonishing quantities of $!

I think we had the same discussion in last year's thread, your application is much more demanding than mine. Sorry about your unfortunate experiences.
The SPOT camera looks interesting though. Are you using the SPOT camera/software in place of Pax-it?
I did not renew the Pax-it license. For what I have to do a license is not necessary.
