weldment cutlist

weldment cutlist

weldment cutlist

(OP)
Hi All,

I am using weldment and relative view techniques for my welded parts. I created weldment cut list table with my part. Then with relative view i created drawings of bodies. But i want to show "cut list item name" and "item no" by selecting these body drawings. Maybe by adding a "NOTE" with a property included.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
zirtapoz

RE: weldment cutlist

Hello zirtapoz,

Are you trying to create balloons? If so you can get the item number with balloons, and if the "cut list item name" is a property you may be able to get that to.

cheers,

I am using balloon to show the item number. But i need to add  "cut list item name" to this balloon.
cut list item name:
when we update the cut list, we get folders like
Cut-List-Item1
Cut-List-Item2
.
.
I want to use this folder names, because they are constant considering to item numbers. Item numbers are changing out of my control.

I don't want to use custom properties because i don't want to enter all bodies custom properties one by one.

Because of my project department requests, it is necessary that i must give part numbers to all structural members. They said that we must enter all parts separately to computer for getting cost.
Therefore, i said them, use my weldment part number and add cut list item name to the end of this number. I think this will work.

don't worry be happy.
