Why intermidiate tapping is given in battery bank connected with battery charger?

RE: Battery charger

Could you elaborate on this?  Is there 2 battery chargers feeding one bank of batteries (ie, there is a + and - voltage required)?  If its one charger and the bank is mid-tapped I imagine someone looked at that as a convient way to get 12Vdc from a 125 Vdc bank.  Be careful with that because it will affect the health and performance of the battery bank.

RE: Battery charger

In lithium ion battery packs each cell
is monitored seperately.  See our
"how to charge lithium" web page
http://www.powerstream.com/li.htm
