SolidWorks 2008 to 2007

(OP)
I have Solidworks 2008 at work and 2007 at home.  Sometimes I like to cut short my day at the office and finish whatever project I am on at home.  The problem I have is when I try to open a part or drawing file on my 2007 version it says the file was created on a future version of Solidworks and cannot open it.  Does anyone know if there is a way to bypass this?

RE: SolidWorks 2008 to 2007

You can not open newer SW files on older versions.

How about an enhancement request for this forum -

A scrolling list of the most common questions, just like the "WHITE PAPERS" list.

This could minimize some pain and suffering.

RE: SolidWorks 2008 to 2007

I think that's the idea behind the local FAQ.

RE: SolidWorks 2008 to 2007

As true as that is, Jeff, nobody ever seems to read the FAQ's, unless they're pointed to them.

RE: SolidWorks 2008 to 2007

I think that's somewhat understandable--the folks most in need of such a thing are often the newest to the forum and therefore least likely to have noticed it before.

Anyway, I love CorBlimeyLimey's FAQ on this question.
